In addition to having practised law for many years (most recently at the media-focused law firm Kotrlík Bourgeault Andruško), Pavel also has unique experience in managing major players on the Czech media market (as the CEO of Opera, an association representing all OMNICOM agencies commercially, and as the COO of FTV Prima, spol. s r.o., the country’s second largest private television broadcaster, respectively), as well as companies that are active in construction and real estate — having been in charge of corporations in this industry in the US State of Florida, for several years.

Drawing on his experience, Pavel specialises in providing legal advice in areas where he has spent many years not only as a lawyer, but also as a senior manager (esp. media and real estate). In addition to legal services, Pavel is also involved in media and PR consultancy work.

In addition to advising on media and property law, he specialises in competition law, having successfully represented a number of clients in matters of fundamental importance. For example, he and Jiří Melkus were behind the Supreme Administrative Court’s ground-breaking decision to allow low-value contracts to be reviewed by the Office for the Protection of Competition; he also participated in one of the first-ever settlements in an investigation into a suspected cartel in proceedings overseen by the Office for the Protection of Competition.
